Securing Stable Basis for
Growth through Vertical Systematization

HD Hyundai Oilbank has completed vertical systematization of Petrochemistry Aromatic Business with the launch of MX (Mixed Xylene) Plant of HD Hyundai Chemical in 2016. HD Hyundai Chemical produces MX using imported Condensate and Naphtha produced at oil refining unit of HD Hyundai Oilbank. HD Hyundai Cosmo produces BTX products using MX as a material.

We also built vertical systematization that manufactures both lube base oil and lubricating oil in 2015. HD Hyundai Shell Base Oil produces lube base oil using oil residuum as a material, which is used in finished products of lubricating oil, ‘XTeer’.

We have established HD Hyundai OCI as a joint project with OCI to enter the steel chemistry business for the very first time in Korea’s oil refining company. Our goal is to launch operation by 2018. Vertical Systematization has brought stable supply of raw materials and secured product sales channel, which will be the foundation that HD Hyundai Oilbank can stably grow.
