It plans and operates various personnel systems that take into account fair evaluation and compensation for performance, work efficiency, employee satisfaction, and corporate culture.
Labor focuses on listening to voices of on-site employees. It establishes labor-management relations of trust and mutual prosperity, through understanding of employees’ difficulties and candid communication between labor and management.
General Affairs is in charge of managing real estate risks and other company assets, such as the sale of idle and low-interest property, management of lease contracts, and rental work at the time of site acceptance. Moreover, it manages and improves the office environment so that our employees can work in pleasant and comfortable conditions. It also plans and operates various systems to promote company welfare.
Public Relations consist of media relations, internal communication, brand management, and sponsorship. Through various media channels, it reports the company’s various events to the outside world while monitoring and responding to management risk exposures. Using the newsletter and webzines, it helps active communication between members, and keeps records of important events in the company. It also improves company awareness and enhances its image through advertising campaigns, C/I development, and sponsorship of cultural and sporting events.
Social Contribution focuses on fulfilling corporate social responsibility. It respects ethical values and conducts a variety of social contribution activities for the harmony and balance of people, communities, and the external environment.
The External Cooperation Department serves as a communication channel between the company and government agencies, and deal with various government policies. It analyzes the effects of various government policy changes on energy, the environment, safety, and establishes countermeasures to help facilitate business activities. Through the fair trade self-compliance program, it actively complies with competition orders, contributing to the improvement of corporate value.
Finance / Accounting
The main task of Finance is to raise necessary funds while operating surplus funds based on short and long-term cash flow plan according to company-wide management strategy. In order to raise company credit rating, it carries out foreign exchange management for IR activities, as well as import and export transactions. It also performs risk management for insurance accidents.
Accounting is primarily responsible for preparing the financial information that is the basis of corporate decision making. It discloses financial statements on a quarterly/annual basis, and establishes accounting policies based on changes in accounting standards and in business. It creates financial statements on the basis of: cost accounting which calculates the cost of products; accounting for tangible assets, which account for a large portion of the device industry; financial accounting to collect accounting estimates; consolidated accounting, which prepares consolidated financial statements by combining the financial statements of subsidiary companies. In addition, it maintains the credibility of preparing and disclosing accounting information through the operation of its internal accounting management system.
Almost all business activities are closely related to law. The Legal Affairs Department acts as an advisor in various fields: compliance support and new business support, not to mention traditional legal affairs, such as contract and legal review as well as litigation support. Under the principle that corporate activities today should be done fairly and in line with the law, it examines various legal risks and strives to ensure that compliance management is naturally established through regular in-house legal education.
IT is in charge of IT infrastructure construction and operation, information security, ERP system operation, web program management, and factory system management. It builds and operates IT infrastructure, such as servers, networks, and databases. It also plans and operates IT security policies of the company. By building the ERP system, it organically links the various management processes of the company, and deduces and improves the task of PI (Process Innovation). It also develops and operates web programs for internal and external customers, and various work programs used at factories, which are the core of oil refining.
The main task of Purchasing is to procure all the goods and services needed to produce and sell the product after refining crude oil. It purchases refinery plant facilities and materials, such as additives needed for production, chemicals, and so on. It signs contracts for various construction work and purchases materials and services for the company’s overall operation, including logistics centers and gas stations. In order to achieve stable supply and demand and cost reduction, it constantly looks for new start-ups and establishes partnerships with overseas suppliers. It also makes efforts to establish win-win partnerships with our partners.
